A poem a day for December, Poem 14

I feel a little crazy
Until someone says
“Me too”
Lack of self-trust?
Insecurity?
Founded –
because I’ve seen me get it wrong

But there are things
You know that you know
After the dust of shame settles
It’s clear you blushed in vain –
and the shame was someone else’s

++++++
Bonus poems:

If my kids play a song
any song
long enough
I will
dance to it
in the kitchen

+++++++

A poem
is catching yourself
in a thought
