Heaven in Heaven (a poem)

Heaven in Heaven

Do they have Thanksgiving in Heaven?
Do they fix a big feast?
Do they go around the table and list their blessings
thankful for God’s all-goodness?
Is every day Thanksgiving in Heaven?

Every day is heaven in Heaven.

Do they have Christmas in Heaven?
Do they hang lights and decorate doors?
Do they give gifts and sing songs
celebrating God “Now in flesh appearing”?
Is every day Christmas in Heaven?

Every day is heaven in Heaven.

Can we imagine time without pain?
Joy without bounds?
Feast without famine?
Love without loss?
Is every day heaven-less on Earth?

No, but every day is heaven in Heaven.
