Happiness Project, a la Alice

My ongoing list inspired by The Happiness Project.

MY MANTRAS & PERSONAL RULES:
(This is just the list, not the explanations. Some I’ve already talked about. Others I will soon.)

1. It’s all foreplay
2. Smile at yourself in the mirror (before you go out)
3. “If I don’t do it, who will?”
4. Imperfections make you more approachable (especially zits)
5. You only have to do today
5.5 This is the hardest thing you’ll ever have to do (life)
6. Find where you end and others begin
7. Let others feel the weight of you
8. Love more
9. That dollar looks better in your pocket than in someone else’s (this is concerning bargains, not charity)
10. Remember that children are always watching
11. You don’t have to say everything
12. Don’t be friends with mean people

EEK! I almost forgot one of the most important ones:

13. It really is going to be okay

and another (remember this is ongoing)

14. “You are tall, dammit, be tall!”
15. Cry when it hurts
16. And that’s why I need Jesus
